Party with my Peeps!!!

So we had to include all her friends in on the birthday celebration so I sent cupcakes to daycare. I didn't send party hats even though I really wanted to but I didn't know if they might be a choking hazard. (I was just trying to be a responsible parent) So her teacher made them all crowns to wear. She's great!! Two of the kids(twins) have been with Avery since she was in the baby room so we consider them to be best friends. Oh, and I promise a party post will be coming in the near future just waiting on pictures. So stay tuned~

Birthday Bash!!!!

Avery has now officially had her first birthday party and might I add her Mommy is still worn out! There was 35 people to help us celebrate and tons of presents for Avery. We are very blessed and grateful for all the great family and friends we have. Everything went perfect but of course there were a few things I forgot like having her birthday crown on when she ate her cake and then realizing I hadn't ask anyone to film for us. Her Uncle Dusty and my Aunt Dayna took all the pictures so we will have tons to look at to remember the day. So to all who attended thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! We love each and every one of you and thank you for making Avery's party so special! Enjoy~

Happy First Birthday Avery!!!!!!

At 4:47p.m. today Avery is now offically 1!!!!! We had such a great day but I have to say all 3 of us are worn out. First thing this morning Avery woke up to a Birthday pancake breakfast.......

Then we got her dressed in her Birthday Girl shirt and gave her the first present of the day.....A sliver and gold bracelet with her name on it. Then it was off to Little Rock.......

So we arrived at Build-A-Bear and was greeted by the nicest worker ever....first we had to pick out what bear she wanted so we stuck two in front of her and she picked.

Then we stuffed him, gave him a heart but he got two b/c Avery wouldn't pick one so she said he was getting one heart from Mommy and one heart from Daddy. Too cute!!! Next we gave him a bath, dressed him and named him.....

So meet the new addition to the Alexander household.....Gus Alexander!!!
He's offical we have a birth certificate and all!!!

We headed to Red Lobster to have lunch and had the best waitress who wanted to have all the workers sing Happy Birthday but we thought it might scare her. So she sang to her and brought her extra mashed potatoes. I have been wanting to go to Babies R Us so we headed there and looked around for a little while and headed home. Here's Avery and Gus on the way home.

So tonight it was time for cake and she sure dug right in and didn't waste any time. We just got her a little one for tonight and then on Saturday at her party she will have her offical first birthday cake.

So now Avery and Gus are asleep and it's back to daycare and work tomorrow. I hope Avery enjoyed her day as much and Chad and I did. I'm a little sad that she's already one but I can't wait for all the new things in the next year to come. Her party is on Saturday so we are getting ready for that and are so excited. Sorry that this post is so long but I wanted to capture every little detail of the day. This is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life and will treasure forever. So Happy Birthday Avery we love you very much!!!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy

This little girl will be 1 tomorrow!!!!!

It's hard to believe that she will be 1. When we had her I was so scared wondering if I could do this. When we left the hospital I knew that this was going to be a life changing experience. I knew our lives would never be the same. It wasn't just me and Chad anymore. Sure I had my doubts but I knew that everything was going to be all right. She has been perfect since the day we brought her home. Sure she has her temper tantrums and her constant visits to the dog bowl but God truly blessed us on September 24th. I wouldn't change a thing and hope we are blessed with many more. She has a fun filled day ahead of her and I wanted to get some last pictures of her as a baby. I thank God every night for blessing me with the absolute best gift in the world, my little girl!!!! I love you Avery!!!!

Busy Bees and Birthdays!!!

We'll Avery's birthday is almost here and I can't help but feel a little sad. She is now not a baby anymore but a TODDLER!!. That means new food, new sections in the clothing department and no more baby toys. I feel like it's all going too fast and would like for it to slow down just a tiny bit. She has reached so many milestones in just a short year. We are so excited and can't wait for what the next year has to bring. I worked like a busy little bee all weekend. I got the entire house inside and out ready for her party on Saturday and I even had time to take her to a birthday party today. We both had so much fun. She received her first birthday present last week from a one of my co-workers so the pics posted are of her playing with her purse with a pony inside. She loves to carry it around. Chad and I are both off work for her birthday on Wednesday so we are going to take her to Build-a-Bear to make a bear. I hope to make this a tradition and every year she can go and make a new one for her birthday. Oh, and yes I will have my camera so be ready for a huge blog about her birthday on Wednesday night. Well I guess that's all for now.......Birthday here we come!!!!

Where has the time gone......

So I'm new to all of this but I thought this would be a great way for all of Avery's family and friends to keep up with what's going on in her life. So hopefully we will have some faithful readers. I have been asking the same question over and over and over the last couple of weeks....Where has the time gone????? We are getting ready for Avery's first birthday party and I absolutely can't believe it's already time. I know while I was pregnant everyone would say "it all goes by so fast" but I never dreamed it would go by this fast. She has changed so much in such a short period of time it's unreal. She is now walking, talking and eating regular food. Now if we can just get her potty trained and off the bottle we'll be done. But I'm not going to make things go by any faster than they already are so I'll continue to change diapers and make bottles for now. Just to show you how much she has changed here's some pictures to show how fast they go from 6lbs. to 22lbs. Till next time........
